Across media, I am drawn to the ways images and materials can hold traces of presence. Photography can freeze and warp space and time, creating windows into identity and mirrors to the self. My eye follows beauty amidst everyday life, the nobility of the simple, and the quiet power of the delicate. In metal, I find a language of permanence, resistance, and transformation. Processes such as roll printing, casting, forming, and surface treatment allow me to translate contact, pressure, texture, and time into objects that carry the memory of their making.

My creative process begins with dreams, emotions, experiences, and language. Language is a source of ideas as well as a way to transform ideas. Text and image, sequence and panorama, material and metaphor collaborate throughout my work. In the studio, my process expands through listening to the medium itself: to what light, metal, gemstones, paper, surface, and digital technology reveal through their own limitations and possibilities. Rather than imposing a fixed idea onto a material, I am interested in discovering what each medium is capable of becoming, and how far it can be carried while remaining true to itself.
