Touch is a language (2023-2026) is a five-panel suite of photography and digital collage presented as back-illuminated displays. The luminous panels bring light that feels as if it comes from everywhere and nowhere specific at once: an atmosphere closer to dreaming than to daylight, where edges soften and meaning arrives by sensation. Across Threshold, Invitation, Benediction, Inspiration, and Closure, the body speaks in gestures: veiled distance, an open palm, a decisive encounter, a blooming presence, and a serene return to the self. Beyond a single narrative, this work builds a perceptual grammar in which touch, posture, and texture communicate beyond everyday language. In a dreaming state, we are no longer constrained by the ties of reasoning and logic and we can become more authentic and faithful to our true identities. This suite invites that same directness, letting the body speak first.
